Terms and Conditions of Boarding

OUR TERMS AND CONDITONS

Please note due to COVID-19 some of the below terms may have changed.

  1. By leaving your pets with us you are agreeing to the terms & conditions outlined in this document & the general information sent to you.
  2. All pets require proof of vaccination. A certificate must be shown on check in indicating that a minimum C5/F3 immunisation has been administered within the last 12 months and not less than 10 days prior to boarding. Pets not correctly vaccinated will be refused boarding.
  3. If veterinary attention is required, the owner is liable for all expenses, including in the event of serious illness or injury. Every effort will be made to contact the owner but where the owner cannot be contacted, the veterinary surgeon’s decision will be final.
  4. In the event where the boarders are left beyond the stipulated period & charges have been paid, Calabash Kennels & Cattery reserve the right after 14 days to sell or rehome the boarder at their discretion. All monies owing shall be payable by the owner & legal proceedings will be instigated if necessary.
  5. The person leaving the pets for boarding shall be deemed the agent of the owner. We reserve the right to recover fees from the agent if the owner is not forthcoming.Debt collecting fees will be charged if a debt collecting agency is required.
  6. Calabash Kennels & Cattery and/or proprietors shall not in any way whatsoever, be responsible for any loss or damage to the boarder or its effects caused during the period of boarding.
  7. All dogs must be treated for fleas and ticks. You are welcome to leave treatments with us and we will administer them, or buy them from us.
  8. All cats must be treated for fleas & ticks. You are welcome to leave treatments with us and we will administer them, or you may buy flea & tick products from us.
  9. It is the responsibility of the owner to inform Calabash Kennels & Cattery of any antisocial tendencies of the boarder.
  10. All boarding fees must be paid prior to the guests leaving, including those going home by taxi. For taxi drop off, cash and eftpos transactions are accepted by the driver.
  11. The fully booked period will be charged during school holidays once the deposit has been paid.
  12. Non-refundable deposits of 50% of the boarding fee will be due 60 days prior to Christmas holidays and 30 days prior for any other school holiday period. There will be a $25.00 amendment fee for any alterations to the original booking for anything over five days during the Christmas holidays inside 60 days.
  13. Medication is charged at the rate of $2.50 per application.
  14. We charge by the night & day use is charged if the pets are picked up in the afternoon.
  15. Out of hours pick up & drop offs incur a $150.00 opening fee
  16. We are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays
  17. PAYMENT; is by eftpos, cash or cheque – credit card at 1.5% surcharge – we accept mastercard & visa card.
  18. We are asking all clients to provide us with a number (if possible) for someone who can pick up your pets in the event of a bushfire threat during the months of Dec through to the end of Feb.
  19. Prices are subject to increase without notice
